Who handles the data

What this site collects

Nothing about you personally. There is no form to fill in, no cookie, no analytics and no advertising pixel. The typefaces are served from this same domain, so visiting makes no request to anyone else.

The hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., records connection data such as the IP address and browser type for technical and security reasons. That happens automatically on any website and is what keeps it running and protected.

If you write

When you write by email or on WhatsApp, the data handled is what you choose to send: your name, your contact and what you say about why you are writing.

If what you say concerns your health, it is a special category of data under Article 9 GDPR. It is used to answer you and, if you decide to come for a consultation, for the purposes of care.

The legal bases are Article 6.1.b GDPR, the steps taken at your request before any course of care, and for health data Article 9.2.h, preventive and healthcare purposes, or your explicit consent under Article 9.2.a.

WhatsApp is a Meta service. If you use it, your message also passes through Meta systems, which handle data under their own terms. Write by email if you would rather it did not.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to a consultation are kept for 24 months and then deleted.

Patient medical records follow the longer periods set by Italian law and the medical code of conduct.

Who sees it

The controller and authorised practice staff, for what their work requires.

The data is not published, not sold, and not used for anyone else’s commercial purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, object, and receive it in a form another system can read. These are Articles 15 to 22 GDPR.

Write to info@smaesthetic.clinic and you will have an answer within the time the law allows.

If you believe the handling is wrong you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, www.garanteprivacy.it.
